Hire Controller – Tipton, West Midlands

Due to continued growth we have an opportunity for a Hire Controller to join the team in our Tipton, West Midlands Depot.

The Hire Controller will be responsible for providing smooth day to day running of the depot and providing a customer-focused service. Your responsibilities will include liaising with customers and suppliers over the phone and on site, using the in-house system to raise purchase orders, contracts and other associated paperwork, communicating with our other depots and providing assistance when required, planning and processing transport needs to meet customer expectations.

The successful candidate will be educated to a GSCE standard or above with knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, ability to work to tight deadlines and timescales with experience of working in a plant hire role.

HGV Class 1 Driver & HIAB Operator: Swindon

We have an opportunity for a Class 1 HGV Driver and HIAB Operator to join the team at our Swindon depot.

The HGV Driver will be required to provide a professional and efficient delivery and collection service of company plant machinery and portable site accommodation to customers in and around the West Midlands area.

Telesales Coordinator: Stoke on Trent Depot. 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a part time Telesales Coordinator to join our Stoke on Trent Depot. In return, we offer a competitive salary plus employer contribution pension scheme.

The Telesales Coordinator will be expected to confidently communicate with customers, providing product knowledge, fulfilling and exceeding customer requirements/expectations as well as building relationships and attracting new business.

Duties will include:

  • Taking and processing customer orders either over the telephone or via email.
  • Contacting new customers through ABI and other leads.
  • Developing and building relationships with new customers.
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries.
  • Actively seeking new customers, building rapport with customers.
  • Upselling and cross selling products to increase sales and profit margins.
  • Progress chasing orders where necessary.
  • Maintaining records.
  • Maintaining administrative processes.
  • Attending meetings that may be necessary in the performance of your duties.
  • Complying with and uphold company policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previously worked in an office environment with experience of telesales.

Electrician: Maidstone

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrician to join our Maidstone Depot. In return, we offer a competitive salary plus employer contribution pension scheme.

The Electrician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and electrically testing plant and site accommodation units.

Duties will include:

  • Servicing and repairs of electrical plant & accommodation.
  • Hands on maintenance, installation, service and repair to a varied range of generators from 6KVA to 100KVA and accommodation units.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and forward planning on plant & accommodation.
  • Technical supervisory knowledge so as to be able to work on own proficiently and carry out  fault finding and service work without supervision in the most efficient and economical manner
  • Carrying out site visits for repair and maintenance as and when requested by the Department Manager
  • Maintenance of yard and workshops.
  • Complete PDI/Service Sheets correctly.
  • Attend meetings that may be necessary in the performance of your duties.
  • Comply with and uphold company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.

The successful Electrician will have:

  • Testing and fault finding
  • Minimum 2 Year experience
  • Working in a fast paced environment
  • City and Guilds 2360/2330 parts 1&2,
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • Effective organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of work.
  • Proven ability and aptitude as an electrician
  • Excellent level of customer service
  • BS7671 17th Edition Test & Inspection 2391 or equivalent is desirable but not essential
  • PAT Testing
  • Previously worked on generators and knowledge of the hire industry is also desirable.
